Exerpeutic 1000Xl Heavy Duty Magnetic Elliptical with Pulse Review

Exerpeutic 1000Xl Heavy Duty Magnetic Elliptical with Pulse Review

Exerpeutic has been making some really good elliptical trainers. I have seen their trainers in many gyms. So when it came to buying one, I readily opted for one of theirs. I happened to come across Exerpeutic 1000Xl Heavy Duty Magnetic Elliptical with Pulse Review and decided I should go for this one. I am glad that I did. It lets me have gym-like exercise at my home.

It is fun to use this machine since you can take liberties with your routine. If you are just starting your fitness journey, this is the machine you need for a long term period. In the following review, you’ll find points that make it a special choice for fitness freaks and beginners alike.

Calm and Quiet in Operation

I always hate it when anything that makes squeaky noises (except a kid’s squeaky shoes). So I was concerned if the trainer would end up making unwanted noise, I would have to throw it away, or put it aside forever. However, like I already mentioned, it does not make any such noise. And that is why I can enjoy TV while working out.

This quietness is due to the Precision Balanced Flywheel and the V-Belt Drive. These two things work seamlessly, providing smooth and noise free exercise hours. The Flywheel has more to it. It is a Dual Direction Flywheel. This means that you can pedal both forward and backward. This lets you exercise different muscles of your body effectively.

Keep Track of Your Progress

The Exerpeutic 1000Xl has a large LCD Display with an easy to use dashboard. The display indicates your time, speed, distance, expended calories and your heartbeat rate. The fixed handles of the trainer are embedded with Pulse Pads. These pads read your pulse rate and show it on the LCD Display. Keeping your pulse within a targeted zone is vital during a workout.

Along with the fixed handles, this elliptical trainer has Dual Action Handle Bars. These handlebars allow you to engage your upper body into exercise along with your lower body. That is to say, with this elliptical you can enjoy total body fitness.

Easy to Use and Adapt to the Process

It is important that you easily adapt to an exercise machine you are going to use regularly. The 1000Xl Elliptical offers you a natural ellipse, which is just like your everyday running experience. The trainer has a Zero Impact design, which exerts little or no stress on your joints e.g. knees, hips, ankles etc.

Plus, it does not have any unwanted bouncy movement so you can get used to the trainer almost from the first day.

Once you get used to the trainer, you would like to try out different exercise levels to enhance your workout sessions. The 8 Level Magnetic Tension Resistance System offers you versatility and dynamic in modes. You can select a difficulty level just by turning a knob.

You can Easily Move it Around

In the very beginning, I mentioned 1000Xl Magnetic Elliptical is lightweight. I can’t exactly tell you the weight, but it is light. And it is included with transportation wheels. So relocating is an easy job. I move it daily from one place to another, and that does not feel like labor. It is a heavy duty structure, so you also don’t need to worry about damaging it when moving it around. Of course, the sturdiness has more benefits than that.

Pros this thing Has

It is noiseless; the Precision Balanced Flywheel along with the V-Belt Drive allows the trainer to function smoothly and seamlessly.

Cons

–    Assembling it alone can take you up to three hours.

–    Contacting customer service is a drag; they take their sweet time answering your call.

–    I’ll not advise this for expert fitness enthusiasts for training.

–    First, three resistance levels won’t pose a challenge for regular exercisers.

–    Basic display suited for a low price machine such as this.

FAQ for the Product

Elliptical trainers are long term investments. Even if you buy something that is a low hanging fruit or priced conveniently, you’d want to know as much as you can about the device. This section answers few of the questions that must be lingering in your mind.

Can I fit in a book holder?

Most likely no. I have 7-inch space to work with on this. So, I can’t fit any in. But I play it smart and use my 7-inch Kindle instead. It works well.

Does it provide a cardio workout for ones that need it?

Yes, you can have a cardio workout using this machine. Though it is aimed at beginners, the Cardiovascular workouts you get are top-notch, to say the least. The resistance levels will prove challenging for beginners as well.

Can you adjust the incline?

No, unfortunately, you cannot adjust the slope.

How does it fair to people with lesser height?

It does quite good actually. My 5’1” friend can use this machine and reach its handlebars without any problems.

What to do to loosen up the pedals for easy exercising?

You can spray WD40 on the pedal when you are assembling the whole thing.

Parting Words

Reading reviews is not fun, I know. But before buying something like this, it is important that you take into account all that you can know about it beforehand. Don’t expect bells and whistles that you get from all the $700+ machines out there. It doesn’t have them. It will be a good support for beginners and casual exercisers.

The machine lasts the test of time. It is sturdy and provides good safety options to users who use this thing. Of course, there will be issues with this after you use it for 3 – 4 years. But the issues can be solved. Keeping in mind that it is one of the models directed at casual exercisers, its performance is worthy of a praise.

So, assuming that you have read the whole Exerpeutic 1000Xl Heavy Duty Magnetic Elliptical with Pulse Review I ask you, do you like it? If you do and go on to buy it for yourself, I can surely say that you will not be disappointed.
